Bristol Motors was originally established by John Wilkens in 1973. In 1993, Dave started Dave's Upholstery and a few years later purchased Bristol Motors from his dad and has continued to grow and evolve it over the years, expanding into custom fabrication, and full vehicle restoration work alongside general automotive repairs and servicing.

From everyday vehicles through to classic and vintage restorations, we take pride in doing things properly. Whether it’s a WOF, routine servicing, custom exhaust fabrication, motor trimming, or a full nut-and-bolt restoration, every job is treated with the same level of care and professionalism.

Our workshop combines traditional skills with modern equipment, allowing us to handle everything from modern diagnostics to specialist restoration work in-house. We’re passionate about keeping vehicles safe, reliable, and looking their best.
